What is a Processional
Processional refers to the formal entrances of family and bridal party. It also refers to the pieces of music we’ll play during these entrances. These special entrances include:
- Family: Parents, grandparents, and any other family or honored guests
- Attendants: Bridesmaids, groomsmen, and any flower girls and/or ring bearers
- The Bride
We often play a piece for family, then change the music and play another piece for attendants, and a third for the bride’s entrance. Many couples opt for a single piece for family and attendants if the processional distance is short or if there are fewer than three or four people in each group.

Founded in 1997, Tropics Entertainment is an entertainment production company specializing in live music for private events. Our bands are created from scratch with a specific focus on high-end weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings.

This makes our groups a bit more “edgy” – nightclub guests want to hear all the new hit songs. All professional bands know the oldies, but these bands are required to stay very current. With flawless transitions between songs, our bands think like a DJ and sound like the artist in concert!
When it comes to designing your event, each of our bands has a coordinator who works in our office. Our coordinator will guide you through the process of customizing the event: selecting music, submitting special requests, and planning the timeline. One of our band coordinators will also be at the event to manage the musicians and assist with the timeline and formalities.
